I hope you all enjoyed your vacation. I am excited to announce we are taking a break from our studies of nonfiction and will return to fiction for our book groups! We will review important parts of plot, and will dig into literal and figurative language, vocabulary strategies, and think about how authors convey theme. We will continue writing information text and will begin a research essay on Westward Expansion in the coming weeks.
